Monique and Spencer reside in Seattle but wanted to pay homage to Monique's California roots for their wedding day. They chose The Darling House for its unique location on the water’s edge with views of La Jolla Cove below and San Diego Bay beyond it — the perfect backdrop for the wedding's joyfully vibrant color palette and florals designed by Amanda of Ivory & Lace Creative Weddings. Every detail was infused with the couple's fun personalities, including orange slice escort cards, disco ball decor, and a ribbon-cutting rather than bouquet toss. One of the couple’s favorite moments from the day is when they stole away with us for sunset overlooking the beach to take some intimate photos of the two of them. The wind was whipping at 40 miles per hour, which resulted in the most wonderfully dramatic photographs.
